Virtual Learning

Over the past few days, the school has been sending out bulletins and announcements about the pandemic and what we need to do to keep our students learning.  At this point, we feel we need one place where you can look that summerizes all that information.  This webpage is designed to do that.  All the information will be redundant, as it was published somewhere else.  This is simply to streamline the process for everyone.  Please check this page reularly for updates.

Students will begin Virtual Learning on March 17, 2020.

Students from grades Pre-K3-8th grade have assignments in Google Classroom.

 For Pre-K3 to 2nd grade:

Click here for a three minute tutorial detailing how to sign in with this new email account and how to access Google Classroom, the online platform we will be using during this time.

Click here for a Parents' Guide to Google Classroom.

The Teachers will be on-line between 8 am and 2 pm and will follow the regular class schedule.  Homeroom teachers will post the schedule for each grade in classroom.

Teachers will be using Google Classroom to:

  • Post classwork for the day (assignments may be work done online or by using textbooks/workbooks/packets)
  • Post reminders or updated information for the class
  • Allow parents to ask questions through comments on teacher posts
  • Be a "one stop shopping" for parents and students where they can see everything that the teacher wants the student to be working on while virtual learning is being done
  • By submitting work each day before 2pm you are ensuring your child will be marked present for that day on PowerSchool, however, everyone has a different situation for childcare.  Let the teacher know through email or classroom the days your child is working and would be considered present at school.  PowerSchool can be adjusted.

Please note that teachers will not be posting daily assignments through their homework sites.  Google Classroom will be the primary platform where information for individual classes will be located at this time.

What Will Be Expected of Students

  • Complete assignments as they are assigned and follow submission guidelines set by the teacher
  • Contact teacher with any question via email or Google Classroom

This is an unprecedented situation for all and we appreciate your support and understanding during this time.  Keeping our students, families, and staff healthy is our top priority.  Be safe, and we will see you all in school soon.
